The main feature is a film over 14 minutes in length that has a mountainous, outdoor, environmental or ecological theme to it. It must have been made within the last four years and not have been entered in LLAMFF previously.
A short is a film that is 14 minutes long or under, that has a mountainous, outdoor, environmental or ecological theme to it. It must have been made within the last four years and not have been entered in Llamff previously.
A newcomer is defined as a film maker who has previously not produced a film that has been made into a DVD, been shown on Television or had a film shown at a film festival before. Again the film should have a mountainous, outdoor, environmental or ecological theme to it. As an entrant to the best newcomer category, this does not preclude you from either of the other two categories.
The people’s choice film is as the title would suggest a film entered in one of the above categories that is voted to be the favourite by the audiences at the screenings.
Last submissions for films is the 31st of January 2010.

The deadline for entries is now over until 2011 LLAMFF.
Judges
There are three judges for the film competition this year. Details below:
Keith Partridge
Has had multiple award winning productions including the BAFTA winner for Outstanding British Film 2004 'Touching The Void' and the 2008 EMMY winning sequel 'Beckoning Silence'. He has been involved with over 60 climbing and adventure films that have between them won over 20 international awards. Keith has been in the industry for over 20 years and if we were to put his CV up here it would quite literally fill the page. He has also been a guest lecturer to BAFTA, Royal Television Society & Royal Geographical Society, Insight Out (Berlin), conferences and film festivals. Ideal then!
Luke Stephenson
Luke, an unrepentant Mancunian, has been involved in community arts projects for over a decade. He has and continues to play an active role in organising and promoting local cinema in Llanberis (Occasional Cinema) and music and dance throughout North West Wales. Actively researching and screening classic and contemporary film from all over the world, particularly minority language films. He has been instrumental in seeking out novel cinema venues including outdoor screenings. In recent years he has also become a supporter and organiser of community dance projects.
First became involved with LLAMFF in 2002 and has continued to take an increasingly involved role within the organisation.
Carol Byrne Jones
Film and TV producer, director, script writer, performer and academic researcher. Carol has worked for HTV, S4C and as a freelancer. Needless to say she has a broad skill set and plenty of hands on experience to draw on.
